There are examples taken from my large catalogue of unique pattern designs. They are often based on everyday items, or simple hand-printing techniques. They can all be reproduced in different colours, to create bespoke pattern designs for your product or project.
Using Photoshop and Illustrator I create complex multilayered documents. Each of my designs has a coding system which can be used to recreate the same design and colourway. I have given details of the stages of each pattern’s development and reasons for each design choice.
Placing The Pattern In A Location
To give context I have combined a selection of finished designs with a straight-on shot of the chair used in my design for mid century modern chairs. Adding a fake carpet and simple skirting board. For every image I altered the colour of the real chair to complement the surface patterns. For each design I also created a simple version that was just the pattern, to show how the design could be used for fabric, lampshades, and other surfaces.
