Cylindric Pattern Design
Introducing Cylindric
Cylindric is created with only two simple cylinders, each with a thin, white top edge.
Each cylinder are coloured differently on the inside and outside meaning the possibility of four different colours used for the design – plus a background of course.
Design Refinement
Initially I had the vertical rows of cylinders much closer together but felt moving them apart adds to the stripy vibe of the pattern.
The two cylinders are actually different heights which adds more resonance to the design too.
Choosing The Colours
The first colour combination was simple, graphic red and blue. I worked through a series of more unusual combinations. I particularly like the khaki and blues versions. Which colours do you like? What other colour combinations would you like to see?
