Raffia Checks Pattern Design
Rotate 90°
Raffia Checks pattern takes my Wiggly Stripes design and rotates a copy by 90°.
Keeping all of the quirks
I would normally have removed all of the odd overlaps and wonky ends not to mention not aligning. For this design I held back from doing only the slightest cleaning up.
Colouring the Pattern
As with Wiggly Stripes, each of the 12 bands are coloured differently. I used theme ideas for the variations such as: Landscapes, Seasons, Textiles, Stone & Brick, and fun colour combinations from my previous designs such as Water Pistols.
Testing The Pattern Repeat
These full-screen versions use actual pattern repeats, set to repeat and scaled using my CSS style sheet. This is the ideal way to test if a pattern repeat works. It has the added bonus of there not being a gigantic high resolution image available to the world!
